Absolutely amazing! I've got a -10c, 50gm overfill, full length zip with quilt straps in 6ft long wide variant. The best sleep I've ever had while hiking. Using it opened up in warmer weather, sipping it closed and sinched down on colder weather. This bag does everything. Well worth the money just for how it performs, but it's also made so incredibly well.

Ryan was great to deal with over the phone and I am very happy with my Bandicoot bag. I haven't used it yet, but I am very confident it will live up to its excellent reputation. Thanks again Ryan.

Very happy with purchase. I bought a -10 bag for Larapinta - only had one night below zero and I was very cosy. Found the bag versatile too - we had quite a range of temps on the hike and I could adjust to suit. Great service and communication from Ryan!

I have a hammock gear quilt that is just not quite warm enough for Australian winter in the high country. I got the -5 degree Bandicoot and it is beautiful. They have figured out how to fix the small gap you normally get at your feet. It is really roomy for 90kg / 181cm me. The material is beautiful and it is super lofty and warm. Best quilt ever.

I love my Bandicoot sleeping bag it's super warm, I bought the standard length to suit a 180 cm body and standard shoulder width and I've found there is plenty of room in it, very comfortable well made bag half the weight of my previous winter bag, recommend it and the speed which Ryan got it to me, great company to deal with and it's an Australian company so please support it

Just used my bandicoot -10 bag on the Overland Track. Had 3 nights of torrential freezing rain. I was so warm and comfortable all night, second night I didn’t bother wearing my thermals at all. Can’t recommend Neve Gear enough. Absolutely love my bag. I’ve always slept cold and suffered when camping but my new bag is an absolute winner

Love my new Neve sleeping bag. My usual alpine bag is a bit warm in summer and I needed a lighter one for a trip up Frenchmans Cap. Neve we’re able to get me the one I ordered before I left to head down to Tassie at Christmas and the follow up communication was great too. The bag performed exactly as I needed: lightweight to carry on a very steep and rough track and comfy and warm at night. And several people commented on its distinctive customised colours. A great purchase.

If you’re looking for a high quality sleeping bag, made right here in Australia. This is it.
It’s nice and light and super warm.
I took my -10 bandicoot sleeping bag on a hiking trip to the snow and it kept me toasty warm under the tarp.
Never been able to choose the colours of materials either, that’s wicked! Can definitely recommend these sleeping bags to anyone.

It is light, small and keeps me warm during my sleep.
I used it as a sleeping bag in a snow cave in the Australian Snowy Mts and a quilt in SE QLD. Being so light it is not good as a quilt in less than 10C as there are a lot of drafts.
I loved the personalized service of the owner and I recommend it.

My Dad gifted me this awesome Neve Gear 950FP down Bandicoot sleeping bag for my Cadet camps. My last military bag had a reinforced foot box, but with wet moody feet sometimes leaving your boots on for a quick response at night has your bag wet and muddy.
Not this neat idea. The Bandicoot opens out like a blanket and the foot box has a draw cord closure, so you sleep zipped up cosy, with your boots out the bottom and can quickly be up and out if needed.
It’s awesome! More than half the weight of my last bag, compresses to a fraction of the size of my old bag too and so much warmer and cosy.

I've been using my Bandicoot hoodless bag for all my trips this winter. It has performed well in the coldest conditions I'm likely to face locally and I am very happy with the warmth and the build quality. The customer service from Neve Gear leading up to purchase also as I refined the specifications was superb. I am happy to highly recommend their products. Very easy to work with and excellent quality product.

Kept me warm
Camped on top of a mountain that went below freezing at night. With the bag fully zipped and draft collar tight, I was warm enough to have a good night's sleep.

Bandicoot sleeping bag
Fantastic service from Ryan at Neve Gear. Emails answered promptly, every question answered in detail, and my sleeping bag arrived from interstate within just a couple of weeks. Weight specs as ordered, yet to test the temperature extreme of the bag, but confident it'll keep me warm. Can't speak highly enough of the service offered by this business. Annette

Amazing Quilt for the price
Thought I'd give an Australian cottage maker a go - and these quilts are the real deal, easily up there with the likes of Nunatak and Katabatic for a locally made and cheaper product. Highly recommended!

Bandicoot Quilt/Bag Review - First Impressions
When it comes to hiking and expedition gear I have a lot and have tried a lot, but am still always on the look out for new kit that shaves weight and increases flexibility, without a loss of durability and performance.
The Bandicoot Hiking Quilt from Neve Gear caught my attention due to its flexibility of being both a quilt and a sleeping bag, and the specifications and design looked very impressive.
As a new Australian product with Australian manufacturing I examined things a little closer. The customer service from Ryan was second to none, answering all my questions and queries in detail, so I took the plunge.
In less than three weeks my new quilt arrived, with Ryan providing regular updates, even photographs of the manufacturing process. Now that’s customer service!
The weight and luxurious feel was amazing. The boxed baffles seemed to secure the 950 down in place really well and the draft baffles looked very good. The stitching, material and manufacturing all looks very robust too. I am always nervous about zips, as snagging is often an issue on many and I often use a heavier winter bag with just about the best zip ever. However, whilst light, the YKK zip runs and holds well and snagging on its draft tube does not seem problematic.
It felt warm, cosy and comfortable and the centre zip and differential cut and drawer cords all work really well. The size is perhaps just a little snug for me, but I am thick set and broad shouldered, and maybe to used to a bigger bag, but zipped up I could roll on my side (how I usually sleep and fidget) and the bag just stays with you comfortably.
I think this is going to be perfect for my needs as a new two/three season lightweight Alpine set up, with the loft and warmth of the down more than likely to have enough resilience for the occasional freezing nights. I shall put it to the test and report back.
Similar specification bags can cost you three times this so it’s excellent value too.
Great design, great specs, great service, great price!
